Tilehurst
Tilehurst is a suburb of Reading in the English county of Berkshire. It lies to the west of the town centre, on the north bank of the River Thames. Historically, Tilehurst was a separate village and parish, but suburban expansion in the 20th century saw it become integrated into the Reading urban area.
Tilehurst is generally divided into two main areas: Little Tilehurst (the original village centre) and Tilehurst proper (a larger area developed later). The area is primarily residential, with a mix of housing styles dating from different periods.
Notable features of Tilehurst include Prospect Park, a large public park, and Arthur Newbery Park. There are several schools serving the area, as well as a variety of local shops and amenities. Tilehurst railway station provides train services to Reading, Oxford, and London Paddington.
