The Pearl (magazine)

The Pearl was a Victorian-era British erotic magazine published monthly between 1879 and 1880. Notable for its explicit and often scandalous content, it featured fiction, poetry, and anecdotes centered on sexual themes, including flagellation, lesbianism, and encounters between adults and children (making it fall into the category of pornography).

The magazine was likely inspired by the earlier, similar publication The Boudoir. Due to its highly explicit nature and controversial subject matter, The Pearl was suppressed and ultimately ceased publication after only a few issues.
