Warr Acres (band)

Warr Acres was an American Christian rock band formed in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, in 2007. The band was initially composed of songwriters Oscar Diaz, Kristy Starling, and Lael Ewing, along with drummer Aaron Blanton and guitarist Roy Ewing. Their name derived from the Oklahoma City suburb of Warr Acres, where they were based.

Warr Acres released several independent EPs before signing with Dream Records, a Christian record label. With Dream Records, they released two full-length albums: Warr Acres in 2011 and Hope Will Rise in 2013. Their music blended elements of pop, rock, and worship, with lyrics focused on themes of faith, hope, and redemption.

The band gained recognition within the contemporary Christian music scene for songs like "Savior, Savior," "Light Up the Night," and "All Things New." They toured extensively, performing at numerous Christian music festivals and events.

Warr Acres disbanded in 2014, with members pursuing individual projects. Oscar Diaz has since embarked on a solo career as a worship leader and songwriter. Other members have remained active in music, either independently or through other ventures.
