Cults (band)
Cults is an American indie pop band formed in New York City in 2010. The group consists primarily of Brian Oblivion and Madeline Follin. Cults is known for their distinctive sound, characterized by a blend of dreamy, lo-fi production, 1960s girl-group melodies, and at times, dark and melancholic themes.
Their self-titled debut album, Cults, was released in 2011 and received critical acclaim for its catchy hooks and nostalgic atmosphere. The album included the singles "Go Outside" and "Abducted."
Cults has released subsequent albums, including Static (2013) and Offering (2017). Their music often explores themes of love, loss, and societal alienation.
