Kertész (crater)

Kertész is a lunar impact crater that lies on the far side of the Moon. It is located to the southeast of the larger crater Von Kármán, and northwest of Alder.

The crater is named after Hungarian photographer André Kertész.

Kertész is a relatively well-defined crater with a sharp-edged rim and a slightly irregular interior floor. There is a small craterlet located along the inner wall of the western rim. The interior floor is marked by a few smaller impacts. The surrounding terrain is heavily cratered, characteristic of the lunar far side. The crater's formation is relatively recent, as it lacks significant erosion or degradation.
