Bombora (album)
Bombora is the third studio album by Australian rock band, Boom Crash Opera. It was released in November 1994. The album represents a stylistic shift for the band, incorporating more electronic and experimental elements into their sound compared to their earlier, more guitar-driven work.
The album's title comes from an Aboriginal word meaning a large wave breaking over a submerged reef. This imagery is reflected in the album's cover art and the themes explored within the music.
"Onion Skin" and "Gett Off" were released as singles from the album. While not achieving the same commercial success as some of their earlier singles, Bombora received positive reviews from critics who praised its adventurous sound and songwriting. The album demonstrated the band's willingness to experiment and evolve beyond their established sound.
