Jim Tarle

Jim Tarle (born c. 1940) is an American businessman, politician, and community figure known primarily for his long-standing involvement in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. He is perhaps best known for his ownership and operation of Findlay Market, a historic public market in Cincinnati, which he purchased in 1978 and significantly revitalized.

Tarle has also been active in Cincinnati politics. He served as a Cincinnati City Council member for multiple terms, including periods in the 1970s and 1980s. During his time in office, he championed various initiatives related to urban revitalization, historic preservation, and community development. He also ran for Mayor of Cincinnati, though unsuccessfully.
