Kurt Hahn

Kurt Hahn (1886-1974) was a German educator and theorist, best known for his pioneering work in experiential education and character development. He is the founder of several influential educational institutions and movements, including Salem School in Germany, Gordonstoun School in Scotland, the Outward Bound movement, and the United World Colleges.
