Bob Diaco

Bob Diaco (born February 19, 1973) is an American football coach. He has held various coaching positions throughout his career, primarily focusing on defensive roles.

Diaco served as the defensive coordinator for the University of Notre Dame from 2010 to 2013. During his tenure, the Notre Dame defense experienced significant improvement, culminating in a trip to the 2013 BCS National Championship Game. He was recognized as the 2012 Broyles Award winner, given annually to the nation's top assistant coach.

Following his time at Notre Dame, Diaco was the head football coach at the University of Connecticut (UConn) from 2014 to 2016. He was ultimately fired after three seasons with a record of 11-26.

After his time at UConn, Diaco served as the defensive coordinator for the University of Nebraska in 2017 and held various other assistant coaching positions at programs including Louisiana Tech, Oklahoma, and Purdue.
