Chociwel

Chociwel is a village in northwestern Poland, located in the administrative district of Gmina Chociwel, within Stargard County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It is situated approximately 26 kilometers northeast of Stargard and 54 kilometers east of the regional capital, Szczecin.

Historically, Chociwel has experienced periods of German administration, during which it was known by the German name Freienwalde in Pommern (or sometimes simply Freienwalde). The village's history is intertwined with the broader history of Pomerania.
