Bob Price (Texas politician)
Bob Price (born October 5, 1927, died November 14, 2004) was an American politician from the state of Texas. He served as a Democratic member of the Texas House of Representatives from District 83 (later District 81) representing Potter County, which includes Amarillo, from 1963 to 1981.
Price was a prominent figure in Texas politics during his tenure. He was known for his work on education, appropriations, and natural resources issues. He served on the House Appropriations Committee for a significant portion of his time in the legislature. Price was also a key player in the development of water policy for the Texas Panhandle.
Following his service in the Texas House, Price remained active in civic affairs in Amarillo. He was involved in various community organizations and continued to advocate for the interests of his constituents. He died in Amarillo in 2004.
