Bioclipse

Bioclipse is a graphical workbench for the life sciences, providing a platform for visual and computational cheminformatics and bioinformatics. It is an open-source software project initially developed with the aim to provide a user-friendly environment integrating various existing tools and resources for drug discovery and related research areas.

Bioclipse's core functionality includes capabilities for handling chemical structures and biological sequences, visualizing molecules in 2D and 3D, performing chemical calculations, and integrating with online databases and web services. It is designed to be extensible, allowing developers to add new functionalities through plugins. These plugins can introduce new data formats, algorithms, and analysis tools, expanding the capabilities of the platform to address diverse scientific questions.

A key design principle of Bioclipse is its focus on accessibility.
