Kvitsøy Church

Kvitsøy Church is a parish church in Kvitsøy municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located on the island of Kvitsøy. The church is part of the Tungenes prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The white, wooden church was built in a long church design in 1726 using plans drawn up by an unknown architect. The church seats about 150 people.

Historically, the earliest existing historical records of the church date back to the year 1306. The first church on Kvitsøy was likely a wooden stave church that was located on the island of Kvitsøy. Around the year 1620, the old church was torn down and replaced with a new timber-framed church. In 1725, the church was heavily damaged in a storm. The following year, the church was torn down and rebuilt on the same site. The new church was completed in 1726 and it has been in use ever since.
