Billy Walker (Scottish footballer)
Billy Walker (born 19 January 1943) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played primarily as an inside forward. He is best known for his time with Heart of Midlothian (Hearts) in the Scottish Football League.
Walker began his senior career with Hearts in 1960, quickly establishing himself as a key player. He was known for his skill, vision, and goalscoring ability. He was a prominent member of the Hearts team throughout the 1960s. During his time at Tynecastle, he won the Scottish League Cup in 1962-63.
In 1968, Walker transferred to Partick Thistle. He continued to play professional football for several years, also spending time with clubs such as Dumbarton and Cowdenbeath.
After retiring from professional football, Walker remained involved in the sport in various coaching and administrative roles at amateur level. His contributions to Hearts during his playing career earned him recognition as a notable figure in the club's history.
