Alex Hay

Alex Hay (born c. 1930s/1940s, died February 2011) was a Scottish professional golfer and golf commentator. Hay served as the head professional at Kingsknowe Golf Club in Edinburgh for over 30 years, retiring in 1997. He gained prominence for his instructional golf books and videos, particularly "Alex Hay's Golf Clinic," which were widely popular and influential. He was known for his engaging teaching style and ability to communicate complex concepts in an accessible manner. Hay also provided commentary on golf tournaments for BBC television. His contributions helped popularize golf instruction and the sport in general.
