Bill Schroeder (wide receiver)

Bill Schroeder (born January 31, 1971) is a former American football wide receiver who played in the National Football League (NFL) for eight seasons.

Schroeder played college football at Lakeland College (now Lakeland University) in Plymouth, Wisconsin. He was not drafted into the NFL.

He began his NFL career with the Green Bay Packers in 1997, initially on their practice squad. He developed into a significant contributor, becoming a starting receiver for the Packers during the 1999, 2000, and 2001 seasons. He was known for his size, speed, and ability to make difficult catches. His best season statistically was in 2001, when he recorded 74 receptions for 1051 yards and 5 touchdowns.

In 2002, Schroeder was traded to the Detroit Lions. He played for the Lions for two seasons (2002-2003).

His final NFL season was in 2004, when he played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

After his NFL career, Schroeder became involved in business and other ventures.
