Bill Barrett (artist)

Bill Barrett (born 1934) is an American abstract sculptor and painter known for his flowing, curvilinear metal sculptures. He is a second-generation abstract expressionist, initially influenced by the work of David Smith and Anthony Caro, but he developed his own distinctive style characterized by lyrical forms and dynamic compositions.

Barrett's sculptures are often fabricated from bronze, stainless steel, or aluminum. He frequently employs processes like welding, grinding, and polishing to achieve smooth, reflective surfaces that interact with light and their surrounding environment.
