Chhintang

Chhintang is a rural municipality (Gaunpalika) located in Dhankuta District of Province No. 1 in eastern Nepal. The municipality was formed in 2017 through the merger of the former Village Development Committees (VDCs) of Ankhisalla, Hattikharka, and Vedetar.

The main occupation of the people in Chhintang is agriculture. The area is known for its production of various agricultural products.

Chhintang has a diverse ethnic population, with communities including, but not limited to, Rai, Limbu, and Brahmin.

Transportation to and from Chhintang relies primarily on road networks, though infrastructure development is ongoing.
