Rex Linn

Rex Linn (born November 13, 1956) is an American film and television actor. He is best known for his roles as Frank Tripp in the CBS crime drama CSI: Miami and as Detective Tom Ryan in the film Rush Hour.

Linn was born in Spearman, Texas, and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He worked in the oil industry for several years before pursuing an acting career. His first acting role was in the 1986 film Night of the Creeps.

Linn has appeared in numerous films and television shows, often portraying law enforcement officers or authority figures. Some of his notable film credits include Cliffhanger, Tin Cup, Twister, Deep Impact, The Postman, Blast from the Past, Sweet Home Alabama, Hollywood Homicide, and Fighting Temptations.

His television credits include Northern Exposure, The Client, JAG, Nash Bridges, The District, CSI: Miami, Better Call Saul, and Young Sheldon.

Linn's portrayal of Detective Frank Tripp in CSI: Miami spanned ten seasons and over 200 episodes. He is known for his distinctive voice and on-screen presence. He often plays characters with a dry wit and a no-nonsense attitude. He is currently engaged to country music singer Reba McEntire.
