Dewangiri

Dewangiri is a historical and, in some contexts, still used name for present-day Samdrup Jongkhar, one of the 20 dzongkhags (districts) of Bhutan. The name "Dewangiri" often refers to the region surrounding the main town and the broader historical administrative area prior to the modern political restructuring of Bhutan. It's geographically located in southeastern Bhutan, bordering the Indian state of Assam.
