NGC 7320c
NGC 7320c is a background galaxy located behind the apparent grouping of galaxies known as Stephan's Quintet. While visually associated with Stephan's Quintet, NGC 7320c is significantly further away than the other members of the Quintet, and thus is not physically interacting with them.
Specifically, Stephan's Quintet resides approximately 290 million light-years from Earth, whereas NGC 7320c is estimated to be over 300 million light-years away. This difference in distance means that it is a line-of-sight object and not gravitationally bound to the other galaxies in the group.
NGC 7320c is considered a spiral galaxy. Its redshift indicates its greater distance relative to the other galaxies that make up Stephan's Quintet. While it appears in the same field of view, it is not involved in the dramatic tidal interactions and ongoing galaxy evolution observed within Stephan's Quintet.
