Big Brother (Israeli TV series) season 8
Big Brother (Israeli TV series) season 8, also known as HaAh HaGadol VIP 2 (The Big Brother VIP 2) due to its celebrity format, aired in Israel from January 3, 2016, to April 9, 2016. It was the eighth season of the Israeli version of the Big Brother reality television franchise. This season, like the previous celebrity season, featured well-known Israeli personalities competing for a grand prize. The show was broadcast on Reshet 13, and the main host was Assi Azar.
The season followed the standard Big Brother format, where contestants, referred to as housemates, lived together in a custom-built house isolated from the outside world. They were continuously monitored by cameras and microphones. Housemates competed in challenges, formed alliances, and engaged in social interaction to avoid being nominated for eviction by their fellow housemates. Viewers then voted to save their favorite housemates, and the housemate with the fewest votes each week was evicted. The last remaining housemate won the grand prize.
This season was notable for its cast of celebrities and the resulting drama and interpersonal relationships that unfolded on screen. Prominent housemates included well-known actors, singers, and media personalities. Key events during the season included various conflicts between housemates, strategic gameplay, and public reactions to the personalities and actions within the house. The ultimate winner was Avi Gabbay.
