Bhuttar

Bhuttar is a village development committee (VDC) located in the Solukhumbu District of Province No. 1 in eastern Nepal. VDCs served as the local administrative units in Nepal prior to the implementation of the new local level structure in 2017. While the VDC structure has been dissolved and replaced by municipalities and rural municipalities, Bhuttar remains a geographical area within Solukhumbu. The area is primarily rural and mountainous, characterized by agricultural land and natural landscapes. The economy is largely based on subsistence agriculture and tourism, with trekking routes to Mount Everest and other Himalayan peaks passing nearby. The population consists mainly of indigenous communities, including Sherpas. Basic infrastructure, such as schools and health posts, can be found in Bhuttar, but access to services may be limited due to the remote location and difficult terrain.
