Battle of San Mateo (1899)

The Battle of San Mateo (1899) was a significant engagement during the Philippine-American War. It took place on December 19, 1899, in and around the town of San Mateo, Rizal (present-day Rodriguez, Rizal) in the Philippines. The battle pitted Filipino revolutionary forces under the command of General Licerio Geronimo against the American forces led by General Henry Ware Lawton.
