Jerteh (town)

Jerteh is a town and mukim (commune/subdistrict) in the Besut district of Terengganu, Malaysia. It serves as the administrative center for the Besut district. Jerteh is located approximately 130 kilometers north of Kuala Terengganu, the state capital.

The town is situated near the Besut River and is a significant agricultural hub, known particularly for its rice cultivation. It is also a center for education, housing several schools and a branch of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM).
