Pacífico (beer)

Pacífico, often referred to as Cerveza Pacífico Clara, is a Mexican pilsner-style beer brewed in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico. It was originally brewed by German immigrants in the early 20th century and has become a popular Mexican beer, particularly in the western and northwestern regions of the country and in the southwestern United States.

History:

The brewery was founded in 1900 by Jorge Claussen, Emilio Philippy, and Germán Evers. The name "Pacífico" refers to the Pacific Ocean bordering the city of Mazatlán. The brand was acquired by Grupo Modelo in 1954, which in turn was acquired by Anheuser-Busch InBev in 2013.

Characteristics:

Pacífico is a pale, golden-colored beer with a crisp, clean flavor and aroma. It generally has an alcohol content of around 4.5% ABV (alcohol by volume). It is often served with a lime wedge.

Availability:

While primarily consumed in Mexico and the United States, Pacífico can be found in some other international markets. It is widely available in both bottles and cans.

Related Brands:

Pacífico belongs to the portfolio of Anheuser-Busch InBev, which includes other well-known Mexican beer brands such as Corona and Modelo.
