Heather Clark (writer)
Heather Clark is an American literary biographer, poet, and professor. She is known for her biographies of American poets, particularly her Pulitzer Prize-winning biography of Elizabeth Bishop, Elizabeth Bishop: An Anatomy of Cold (2016).
Clark received her Ph.D. in English from Harvard University. She is currently a Professor of Contemporary Poetry at the University of Huddersfield in the United Kingdom.
Her scholarly work focuses on 20th- and 21st-century poetry, biography, and modernism. She has published widely on poets such as Bishop, Robert Lowell, Sylvia Plath, and Ted Hughes.
