Mike Adams (pitcher)

Mike Adams (born November 10, 1978) is a former American professional baseball relief pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Milwaukee Brewers, San Diego Padres, Texas Rangers, Philadelphia Phillies, and Colorado Rockies.

Adams was known for his sidearm delivery and his sinkerball, which he used to generate ground balls. He was a late bloomer, not reaching the majors until he was 25 years old.

Adams was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 5th round of the 2000 MLB draft. He made his major league debut with the Brewers in 2004. After struggling with injuries early in his career, he found success with the San Diego Padres, becoming one of the team's most reliable relievers. He was traded to the Texas Rangers in 2011, where he continued to pitch effectively. He signed with the Philadelphia Phillies in 2014 but was limited by injuries. His final MLB stint was with the Colorado Rockies in 2014.

Throughout his career, Adams was considered a valuable bullpen asset due to his ability to induce ground balls and his effectiveness against right-handed hitters.
