Band-Maiko (album)

Band-Maiko is the debut album by the Japanese rock band Band-Maiko, a sub-unit of the all-female rock band Band-Maid. It was released on December 12, 2018. The album features Band-Maid members performing in the traditional Japanese "maiko" (apprentice geisha) attire, and the music blends hard rock with traditional Japanese musical elements. The songs are primarily re-recordings of previously released Band-Maid songs, but performed with instruments such as shamisen and shakuhachi, and feature lyrical adjustments to fit the "maiko" theme. The album also includes original compositions.
