Ariyalai

Ariyalai is a village located in the Jaffna District of the Northern Province of Sri Lanka. It is situated northeast of Jaffna city, along the coastal road towards Point Pedro. Ariyalai is primarily a residential and agricultural area. The area is known for its palmyrah trees and associated industries. While not a major urban center, Ariyalai serves as a local hub for surrounding smaller settlements. Its proximity to Jaffna city allows residents easy access to urban amenities and services. The population is predominantly Sri Lankan Tamil. The area experienced significant displacement during the Sri Lankan Civil War.
