Corey Anderson (cricketer)

Corey James Anderson (born December 13, 1990) is a New Zealand cricketer who has represented New Zealand and the United States of America internationally. He is an all-rounder, primarily known for his aggressive left-handed batting and his right-arm medium-fast bowling.

Anderson gained prominence for his destructive batting, particularly in limited-overs formats. He briefly held the record for the fastest One Day International (ODI) century, scoring a century in 36 balls against the West Indies in 2014. He was a key member of the New Zealand team that reached the final of the 2015 Cricket World Cup.

Anderson has also played in various Twenty20 (T20) leagues around the world, including the Indian Premier League (IPL), the Big Bash League (BBL), and the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).

In 2020, Anderson announced his retirement from New Zealand cricket, citing his desire to pursue opportunities in Major League Cricket (MLC) in the United States. He became eligible to represent the United States internationally in 2023, and has since played for the United States national team in both ODI and T20 formats.
