Alex Guerrero (baseball)

Alex Guerrero (born November 20, 1986) is a Cuban professional baseball infielder. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Guerrero defected from Cuba in 2012 seeking a career in MLB. He signed with the Dodgers in October 2013. Known for his power hitting, Guerrero struggled with consistency and defense during his time in the major leagues.

He began his professional career in the Cuban National Series, playing for Las Tunas. He showed promise as a hitter in Cuba, attracting the attention of MLB scouts.

Guerrero's MLB career included stints at second base, third base, and left field. He displayed flashes of offensive potential, but defensive shortcomings limited his playing time. After his time with the Dodgers, he continued to play professionally in other leagues.
