Alberto Castillo (catcher)

Alberto Castillo is a former professional baseball catcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Florida Marlins (2001-2002), Toronto Blue Jays (2004), and New York Mets (2005-2007). Primarily a backup catcher, Castillo was known for his defensive abilities. His career spanned parts of seven MLB seasons. Castillo was signed as an international free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Following his MLB career, Castillo played in the minor leagues and independent leagues.
