Udine (Chamber of Deputies electoral district)
Udine (Chamber of Deputies electoral district) was an electoral district in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy. It existed from 1993 to 2017 for elections to the Chamber of Deputies, the lower house of the Italian Parliament.
The district was established by the Mattarella Law (Law 277/1993), which introduced a mixed electoral system. 75% of seats were allocated using a first-past-the-post system in single-member districts, and 25% were allocated using proportional representation based on party lists.
The Udine district covered a portion of the Province of Udine. It was abolished by the Rosato Law (Law 165/2017), which introduced a mixed system with a smaller proportion of seats allocated by first-past-the-post, leading to a redrawing of electoral boundaries. Consequently, the Udine district was replaced by other, differently configured districts for the 2018 general election. The area previously covered by the Udine district is now part of larger constituencies within the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region.
