Achilles (1953–1957 motorcycle)
The Achilles motorcycle was a small-capacity motorcycle manufactured in Germany by Achilles Fahrzeugbau between 1953 and 1957. Production took place in Hessisch Lichtenau. These motorcycles were primarily powered by Sachs two-stroke engines, typically of 98cc or 125cc displacement. The Achilles motorcycles were known for being relatively inexpensive and practical machines, aimed at providing affordable transportation in post-war Germany. While not exceptionally powerful or technologically advanced, they served a functional role and are now considered vintage motorcycles. The Achilles brand ceased production after 1957.
