Acceptable Risk (TV series)

Acceptable Risk is an Irish legal thriller television series that aired on RTÉ One in Ireland and Acorn TV internationally. The series focuses on Sarah Manning, whose husband Lee, an executive at a pharmaceutical company, is found dead in Montreal. His death is initially ruled as an accident, but Sarah becomes suspicious and begins investigating, uncovering a web of corporate secrets, political intrigue, and dangerous conspiracies.

The series explores themes of corporate ethics, the pharmaceutical industry, and the lengths to which people will go to protect their interests. It features a cast including Elaine Cassidy as Sarah Manning, Angeline Ball, Lisa Dwyer Hogg, and Morten Suurballe.

Acceptable Risk was created and written by Ron Hutchinson and developed by James Mitchell. The series ran for two seasons. The first season premiered in 2017, and the second in 2019.
