Osh Agabi
Osh Agabi is a Nigerian neuroscientist and entrepreneur. He is best known as the founder and CEO of Koniku, a biotechnology company that develops neuro-computing devices.
Agabi's work focuses on interfacing biological neurons with silicon technology to create hybrid systems capable of sensing and processing information. Koniku's core technology involves culturing living neurons on microchips to detect odors and other environmental stimuli. The company aims to use this technology in applications such as explosives detection, disease diagnosis, and environmental monitoring.
Agabi received his PhD in Neuroscience from Imperial College London. Prior to founding Koniku, he worked at Intel, focusing on neuromorphic computing. He has received recognition for his innovative work, including being named a TED Fellow and a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader.
