Waihemo (New Zealand electorate)
Waihemo was a former parliamentary electorate in the Otago region of New Zealand. It existed from 1866 to 1890.
History and Boundaries:
The Waihemo electorate was created for the 1866 election. Its boundaries were situated in the Maniototo region of Central Otago. The electorate's name derives from the Waihemo River which flows through the area. Boundary adjustments occurred throughout its existence, reflecting population changes and redistribution.
