Aïn Defla
Aïn Defla is a province (wilaya) of Algeria. It is located in the north-central part of the country, west of Algiers.
The capital of the Aïn Defla Province is also named Aïn Defla. The province is primarily an agricultural area, with fertile plains contributing to cereal and fruit production. Other notable towns within the province include Khemis Miliana and Miliana.
The province has a diverse landscape, ranging from plains to mountainous terrain. Historically, the region has been influenced by various cultures, including Berber, Roman, and Arab.
Aïn Defla was created in 1984 from parts of the former Chlef and Médéa provinces. It is administratively divided into several districts (daïras) and municipalities (communes).
