Tom Jones (footballer, born 1899)

Tom Jones (born 1899, date of death unknown) was a Welsh professional footballer who played as a full-back.

Jones began his career at Aberdare Town before joining Newport County in 1922. He made over 100 appearances for Newport in the Football League Third Division South. He was a consistent performer in the Newport defence for several seasons.

After leaving Newport County, details of Jones's subsequent career are scarce. It is believed he may have returned to non-league football, although precise information about his later playing days remains unconfirmed. Information regarding his personal life outside of his footballing career is also limited.
