121st Regiment of Foot (1794)

The 121st Regiment of Foot was a short-lived infantry regiment raised for British service in 1794 during the French Revolutionary Wars. Like many regiments raised during this period, it was intended to bolster the British Army in response to the growing threat from revolutionary France.

The regiment was raised by Colonel John Petrie, and its period of service was extremely brief. It was disbanded in 1796. As a result of its short existence, the 121st Regiment of Foot saw little or no active service in any significant campaigns. Records pertaining to its internal organization, recruitment, and specific activities are scarce. The disbandment reflects the common practice of raising and disbanding regiments as needed based on the fluctuating demands of wartime.
