Čakova

Čakova is a village in the municipality of Srpski Itebej, in the Central Banat District of Vojvodina, Serbia. It is located in the geographical region of Banat. The village has a majority Romanian population, and its coordinates are approximately 45°33′N 20°42′E. Historical records concerning Čakova are limited, but it shares a similar history with other villages in the Banat region, having been under various empires and kingdoms throughout its existence, including periods under Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian rule. The local economy is primarily agricultural.
