Joe Davis (sportscaster)

Joe Davis (born January 26, 1988) is an American sportscaster, currently serving as the play-by-play announcer for the Los Angeles Dodgers on Spectrum SportsNet LA and for national MLB broadcasts on Fox. He also calls select NFL games for Fox, and college basketball games for Fox and FS1.

Davis began his broadcasting career while a student at Beloit College in Wisconsin, calling Beloit Buccaneers football, basketball, and baseball games. He later became the play-by-play voice for the Schaumburg Flyers, a minor league baseball team in Illinois, and also worked for ESPN Radio in Chicago.

Prior to joining the Dodgers, Davis called college sports for ESPN, primarily college football, basketball, and baseball games. He also broadcast the College World Series on ESPN Radio.

In 2016, Davis was named the successor to Vin Scully as the play-by-play announcer for the Los Angeles Dodgers, taking over full-time duties after Scully's retirement following the 2016 season. His performance has been well-received by fans and critics alike, noting his smooth delivery, knowledge of the game, and respect for Dodgers history. He has quickly become a recognizable voice in baseball broadcasting.
