Triolin
Triolin refers to a hypothetical chemical compound consisting of three olein molecules bonded together. Olein, in turn, is a triacylglycerol derived from oleic acid, a monounsaturated omega-9 fatty acid. Therefore, triolin would be a very large triacylglycerol molecule.
Given its hypothetical nature and the numerous possible configurations and bonding arrangements between the olein molecules, “triolin” is not a standardized chemical term and lacks a definitive molecular structure or defined properties. Its existence is more theoretical than practical, and it is not commonly found in scientific literature or commercial applications. The term is primarily useful for conceptualizing larger, more complex lipid structures built upon the olein subunit.
