József Tóth (footballer, born 1929)
József Tóth (December 10, 1929 – October 6, 2017) was a Hungarian footballer who played as a midfielder. He was a member of the Hungarian national team that won the gold medal at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki.
Tóth began his club career with Csepel SC. He later played for Dorogi Bányász and Újpesti Dózsa. He retired from professional football in 1962.
He earned 12 caps for Hungary between 1953 and 1957. He was part of the legendary "Golden Team" of Hungary during the 1950s, a period of unprecedented success for Hungarian football. Although not a regular starter, he played an important role in the squad. He participated in the 1954 FIFA World Cup, where Hungary finished as runners-up.
After retiring as a player, Tóth became a football coach. He managed several teams in Hungary, including Dunaújváros and Salgótarjáni BTC.
