William Lucas (Virginia politician)

William Lucas (born c. 1770, died c. 1840) was a Virginia politician who served in the Virginia House of Delegates and the U.S. House of Representatives. He represented Ohio County in the Virginia House of Delegates from 1801 to 1805. He then served as a Democratic-Republican U.S. Representative for Virginia's 1st congressional district from 1811 to 1817, during the War of 1812. He resided near Shepherdstown, Virginia (now West Virginia). Following his congressional service, he continued to engage in agricultural pursuits.
