Ventura (horse)

Ventura was an American Thoroughbred racehorse known for her performances in sprint and mile races. Bred in Kentucky, she was foaled in 2003. Ventura raced from 2006 to 2009, achieving notable success at graded stakes level. Some of her significant victories included the Santa Monica Handicap, the Matriarch Stakes, and the Just a Game Stakes. Trained by Richard Mandella, she was ridden by prominent jockeys such as Garrett Gomez and Mike Smith. Ventura was retired from racing in 2009 and subsequently became a broodmare. Her progeny have continued the lineage on the track.
