Fred Taylor (Australian footballer)
Fred Taylor was an Australian rules footballer who played for South Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL). His career spanned from 1932 to 1939. He was known as a rover and played 112 games for the club, kicking 107 goals. Taylor represented Victoria in interstate football. He was a member of South Melbourne's 1933 premiership team. After his playing career, he served in World War II and later worked as a sports commentator.
