Zdynia
Zdynia is a village located in southern Poland, within the Lesser Poland Voivodeship (Małopolskie Województwo), in Gorlice County (Powiat Gorlicki), within the Gmina Uście Gorlickie.
Zdynia is situated in the Low Beskid (Beskid Niski) mountain range. The village is historically associated with the Lemko people, a Rusyn ethnographic group inhabiting the Carpathian Mountains. Following World War II and the "Operation Vistula" (Akcja Wisła) in 1947, the Lemko population was forcibly resettled, leading to significant demographic changes in the area.
Today, Zdynia serves as a starting point for hiking trails into the Low Beskid mountains. The village also has a small church and some historical buildings reflecting its Lemko heritage. It's a relatively small and quiet rural community. The local economy is largely based on agriculture and tourism.
