Yellow Line (Ahmedabad Metro)
The Yellow Line of the Ahmedabad Metro, also known as Line 1, is a rapid transit line serving the city of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. It runs in an east-west direction, connecting Vastral Gam in the east with Thaltej Gam in the west.
The line is primarily elevated, with sections at grade and underground as well. Key stations along the route include Vastral Gam, Nirant Cross Road, Rabari Colony, Amraiwadi, Apparel Park, Kankaria East, Kalupur Railway Station, Gheekanta, Civil Court, Gandhigram, and Thaltej Gam. The Civil Court station is an interchange station providing connectivity with the Blue Line (Line 2).
The Yellow Line is designed to alleviate traffic congestion and provide a faster, more efficient mode of transportation for commuters within the city. It plays a significant role in the overall Ahmedabad Metro project, aiming to improve connectivity and accessibility across different parts of Ahmedabad.
